This film takes place in a prison in Nouméa, CAMP EST. A sculpture workshop called Totem Liberté began four years ago behind its high walls. Its principle was to guide a group of prisoners towards monumental totems. Between the re-appropriation of a Kanak cultural identity, contemporary creation and reintegration, the workshop is increasingly successful. Resolutely intimate, this documentary relies on the words and silences of the main protagonists of the sculpture workshop, the prisoners and the supervisors.
