FIFO 2017 : Deadline for Film Submission on 14 October 2016

FIFO LOGO COUL FOND NOIRThe association of the Oceanian International documentary Film Festival (FIFO Tahiti) informs all directors and producers of documentary or short fiction films that the deadline for film submission for the 14th FIFO is postponed to 14 October 2016, 12am (Tahiti time).

Next FIFO will be taking place in Te Fare Tauhiti Nui – Maison de la Culture in Pape’ete TAHITI from 4 to 12 February 2017. FIFO invites every filmmakers wishing to take part to the FIFO 2017 to submit their film for consideration by contacting the festival organization at [email protected]

Reminder

Documentaries :

  • Submissions accepted until Friday 14 October 2016, at 12am
  • Films must have been produced after 1st January 2014

– Film length should be 15 and 90 minutes for the competition category

– Films themes should be concerning Oceania in all its aspects (social, economics, politics, culture, environment, science, sports, History, people…)

Films selected in the competition category compete for 4 jury awards.

All selected film (« competition » and « non-competition » category) are enlisted for the Audience award.

 

Short fiction films :

  • Submissions accepted until Friday 14 October 2016, at 12am
  • Films must have been produced after 1st January 2014
  • Films should not exceed 30 minutes in duration
  • No restrictions are applied on the themes of the films provided that the director is Oceanian

Selected short films compete for the « Best Oceanian Short » prize awarded by the audience on the « Night of the Shorts » special showcase during the festival.
