CIRCLE OF SILENCE

Case closed or political scandal, Circle of silence is first and foremost a human drama, that of Shirley Shackleton. Inspired by her eponymous book, the film reveals new evidence concerning the murder of five Australian journalists, The Balibó Five, In Timor in 1975, including Greg Shackleton, Shirley’s husband. She dedicated her life to uncovering the truth and conducted her own investigation when the Australian federal police decided to abandon theirs.
