Description
Founded by Robert Redford in 1981, the Sundance Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to the emergence of new voices in American storytelling and the defense of independent narratives for the screen. The Sundance Institute Indigenous Program supports indigenous artists worldwide. Through its fellowships, training initiatives, and creative laboratories, the program works to decolonize the screen, bring indigenous voices to the forefront, and ensure the narrative sovereignty of the peoples and communities represented.
