As a mining project threatens the headwaters of one of the last great wild rivers, the people of the Sepik in Papua New Guinea launch an Indigenous-led resistance to protect its waters. Through stories of struggle and life along this “mother river,” the film explores an existential fight for the survival of a land and its people.
